Salcedo EVO - Extra virgin olive oil of excellence

Where ‘EVO estremo’ is grown

The olive tree arrived in Veneto under the domination of the Ancient Romans, and found its natural habitat in the hilly lands of Lake Garda, Valpolicella, Colli di Soave and Gambellara, Lessinia, Colli Berici, Colli Euganei and all the way to the foothills of Monte Grappa.

Salcedo EVO can be classified as ‘EVO estremo’ (extreme EVO) because the olives are grown in small, difficult to reach and out of the way parcels of land featuring very high altitudes and latitudes.

The groves are located at about 500 m above sea level where they rarely become ill and where the olive fruit fly is rarely seen. This location is also especially well exposed to sunlight and is protected from the cold by the Asiago plateau.
The olive trees that have adapted to these difficult terrains have acquired, thanks to the perseverance and passion of their growers, special vitality and healthiness, and their olives have high concentrations of aromas and of precious organoleptic substances.
